Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

Basic Function:
Primary lead for managing the timely collections of receivables for a sizeable portfolio of projects and customers in an assigned region of Nucor Rebar Fabrication.

Your Responsibilities:
•    Develop and implement a proactive process for managing the timely collections of receivables for assigned branch locations, which may be located in more than one state, in strict accordance with contractual payment terms.
•    Prepare reports for management on a weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly basis tracking all current and overdue balances.
•    Schedule and facilitate regular meetings and virtual calls with branch teammates to discuss overdue accounts, to identify and resolve issues associated with delinquent accounts, and to develop as needed strategies for prompt resolution of overdue accounts.  
•    Coordinate with the legal department on the enforcement of contractual, statutory, and other remedies available in order to resolve collections-related matters.
•    Proactively work with customers to develop and maintain positive, collaborative approaches to ensure receipt of timely payments.
•    Prepare and execute progress payment lien waivers.
•    Closely monitor applicable statutory lien and bond notice deadlines.
•    Prepare monthly Texas statutory lien and bond notices for applicable invoices.
•    Monitor all lien and bond claim filing deadlines to provide ample notice for filing claims.
•    Build positive, collaborative commercial relationships with customers and branch personnel.
•    Maintain strict confidentiality of customer accounts and corporate financial and other data.
•    Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor.
 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Associate’s in Business with equivalent work experience in related field.
•    A minimum of 1 years’ experience in leading teams.
•    Ability to travel as required, often with short notice.
•    Previous commercial credit/collection experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Two to four (2-4) years of combined experience in engineering, detailing, estimating, sales service, or related fields.
•    Previous experience in the construction industry, including an understanding of construction contractual terms.
•    Previous work with managing construction liens
