Basic Job Functions:

 

Nucor Business Technology is seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Technical Analyst. This position will fulfill scrum master responsibilities across the enterprise primarily supporting health, safety, environmental, quality, and other line of business applications. The Technical Analyst will perform various tasks to assist both business users and software developers. Their duties include building strong relationships across divisions and departments, facilitate communication, training, troubleshooting software issues, conducting business requirements gathering, generating reports on software analysis, and configuring software systems.  


Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

 
•    Gains understanding of product group and enterprise strategies. 
•    Organizes committee meetings of business users to gather perspectives and align on business requirements that translate into features and user stories.  
•    Maintains enterprise-wide communication channels on all product releases. 
•    Coordinates backlog grooming sessions with development team and business users. 
•    Plans bi-weekly sprints and prioritizes work for development team. 
•    Facilitates process change discussions to gain an understanding of multiple perspectives from multiple departments and teammates.  
•    Creates process maps and writes specification documents for development projects.  
•    Creates work instructions and provides training for products. 
•    Creates and maintains documentation for all products. 
•    Conducts user acceptance testing.  
•    Creates and maintains software change request documentation and ensures proper approvals are documented and archived for internal/external audit procedures.  
•    Coordinates communication with internal and external audit teams and fulfills requests. 
•    Working with team members to ensure that creative problem-solving methodologies and techniques are used. 
•    Uses insight and careful investigation techniques to discover the true nature of a problem when the customer is unable to provide clear information. 
•    Triages tickets coming into the queue. Engages proper development resources as needed.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • 1 year of proven industry experience or internship creating presentations, training, and/or work instructions. 
  • 1 year industry or internship experience working in agile software development methodology. 
  • Proven experience with backlog visibility and management in Azure Dev Ops. 
  • Proven understanding of the software development life cycle. 
  • Strong time management skills. 
  • Strong/proven analytical and troubleshooting skills to effectively address functional and technical issues. 
  • Strong/proven communication skills; both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to travel as needed to NBT Hubs, Nucor divisions, conferences, and/or training. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of quality management processes. 
  • Knowledge of Fresh Service ticketing system. 
  • Knowledge of SQL/database query. 
  • Knowledge of Learning Management systems. 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI desktop and Paginated Report Builder. 
  • Proven ability to meet /exceed deadlines.
