Inside Sales Representative

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Inside Sales Representative includes but is not limited to serving as the primary backup for any of the inside sales staff positions, responsible for some customer accounts, and handling whatever aspect of sales is needed. Handle all calls and requests for information in a professional manner while working accurately and timely in a deadline-oriented environment. Coordinate with outside sales force, production, shipping, mill management and metallurgist to sell product and service customers. Coordinate mill scheduling of shipments with appropriate departments.  Provide timely status updates to customers.  Enter customer orders timely and accurately with attention to detail.  Able to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Minimum 2 years experience in customer service

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
2. Manufacturing experience
3. Flat Rolled Steel knowledge
