Basic Job Functions:

 

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of IT Divisions Manager.

 

You will be responsible for the technology infrastructure for Nucor Steel Indiana. You will work closely with the NBT Infrastructure Leadership team and Divisional Management teams to ensure that the IT infrastructure is aligned with the overall business strategy and goals. You will also be responsible for supervising the IT professionals at those locations and ensure that they are delivering high-quality services to each division. This is a full time, permanent position with the NBT Infrastructure Team. Some travel will be required.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

  • Collaborate with division to drive consistent standards and processes implementing the IT infrastructure strategy that supports the needs of the division.
  • Partner with business stakeholders (e.g., GMs, controllers) to promote simplification,standardization, and innovation understanding their technology needs and ensure that IT services are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, development, and performance management.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of the IT infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and develop plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, such as application development and cybersecurity, to ensure that the overall technology environment is secure and reliable.
  • Oversee and report on projects, to controllers and NBT Infrastructure leadership, ensure they are on time.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 1 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Experience managing a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience working in a large, complex organization with multiple divisions is preferred.
