HR Generalist

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel, Louisiana, LLC is looking for an HR Generalist whose primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive HR support to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the organization. This role involves supporting various HR functions and collaborating with departments to foster a positive work environment. You will also learn how your efforts contribute to Nucor's business practices and profitability as a Fortune 100 company. 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in an HR role

• At least 4 of those years must be as an HR Generalist

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Proficient knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
2. Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word
3. Reliable transportation to attend offsite events
4. Familiarity with talent management and workforce planning
