Division Commercial Supervisor

Basic Job Functions:

Principal duties of the successful candidate are to provide leadership, training and direction for the sales and customer service efforts at Nucor Steel Hertford. The Division Commercial Supervisor will lead our Inside Sales Department and coordinate with the commercial leadership team on the execution of the Plate Group strategy. The selected candidate will work with Division leadership towards setting and accomplishing the overall goals and objectives of Nucor Steel Hertford. The successful candidate will work alongside the Regional Sales Manager leading and communicating commercial initiatives while developing and maintaining a profitable order book.  Effectively taking care of our customers by creating a focus on safety, quality, cost, service, on time delivery and productivity is paramount to this critical role. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent metals industry experience

•    5+ years of steel industry experience

•    Previous Leadership Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Supervisory experience and/or sales and marketing experience
• Plate product knowledge and experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Advanced problem-solving skills
• Extensive computer knowledge and proficiency
• Proven ability to utilize analytical/statistical tools
