Basic Job Functions:

Principal duties of the successful candidate are to provide leadership, training and direction for the sales and customer service efforts at Nucor Steel Hertford. The Associate Sales Manager will lead our Inside Sales Department and coordinate with the commercial leadership team on the execution of the Plate Group Strategy.  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Work closely with leadership towards executing a strategy and accomplishing the overall goals for the division including safety, revenue, shipping and profitability.
  • Develop and collaborate with other sales departments, regions, and sales support to support business objectives.
  • Participate in the coaching and development of sales teammates.
  • Develop specific goals and plans for prioritizing, organizing, and accomplishing individual work and/or the work of the team
  • Analyze data & understand its relevance in making commercial decisions
  • Effectively take care of our customers by creating a focus on safety, quality, cost, service, on-time delivery and productivity is paramount to this critical role.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be willing to relocate for future advancement positions within Nucor.
  • 5 years’ combined experience in commercial, sales, and /or marketing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience in a sales or commercial role
  • Willing to relocate for future job opportunities
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or steel industry
