Basic Job Functions:

 

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking a highly skilled Systems Architect to join our Architecture Team.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The design, buildout, testing, integration, and deployment of complex computing systems and related standards within Nucor’s larger computing environment, both on-premises and in the cloud
  • Develop and utilize automation techniques through scripting, AI and other means to drive consistency
  • Able to clearly communicate ideas and solutions through documentation and presentations with the technical teams

 

The Cincinnati OH, Irving TX, or Charlotte NC office locations are the preferred locations for this position. Placement at another Nucor location will be considered on an as needed basis. Some travel (Up to 25%) is required for projects and meetings.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 4 years experience architecting and implementing complex enterprise grade computing environments on-prem and in the cloud
  • Minimum of 6 years experience managing complex IT systems including identity, endpoint, and server environments
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing automation systems to support complex computing environments
  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in Microsoft Azure including IAS, PAS and SAS solutions
  • Minimum of 4 years experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft EntraID
  • Minimum of 4 years experience writing complex scripts with Microsoft PowerShell
  • Minimum of 4 years experience implementing and managing Public and Private Certificate Environments
  • Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity best practices and principles
  • Demonstrated experience using AI to solve real world architecture challenges

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code Technologies (Terraform)
  • Experience with implementing cybersecurity compliance standards (NIST, CMMC, CIS, TISAX, Etc)   
  • Architectural experience working in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Environments
