Basic Job Functions:

Immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

 

While travel is rather limited in this position, the candidate for this position must be willing to travel to US based locations on an as-needed basis to support business needs and project deadlines.

 

Business Intelligence Development

  • Develop and maintain logistics focused Power BI dashboards, focused on cost optimization and key KPIs driving business decisions
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, and evolving business needs to develop proactive solutions

Data Modeling and Management

  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data from various sources
  • Develop data pipelines/ETLs and assist in gathering, cleaning, and transforming data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Design and implement data models and structures that support efficient data retrieval and analysis.
  • Monitor data quality and implement data validation processes to promote data integrity and consistency.

Visualization and Storytelling

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the enterprise to ensure the delivery of actionable business insights.
  • Train and support end users in the effective utilization of dashboards and assist in developing user documentation guides on best practices for using various reporting tools.
  • Continually assess and improve dashboard useability and accessibility to improve the user experience.

Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Partner with key stakeholders on ad hoc transportation analysis projects via Excel or Power BI
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest process improvements; plan and implement supply chain optimization projects
  • Work on projects or other duties as assigned

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Supply Chain, Business Informatics, Engineering, Data Science, and or 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel and SQL
  • Experience with PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar business intelligence software tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to effectively communicate to various audience groups both inside and outside of the company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the manufacturing or transportation industry
  • Prior experience with cloud-based technology
  • 3 or more years of professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of relevant BI technologies and concepts, such as Microsoft BI stack (Azure Synapse, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), SQL, DAX, MDX, Python or R, and data warehousing
  • A creative and innovative mentality focused on serving as a strategic partner to end users
