Basic Job Functions:
Vulcraft of New York, Inc. is seeking an individual to join our growing Maintenance Team! The responsibilities for this role include, but aren’t limited to:
• Improving plant operation by repairing, maintaining and rebuilding machine components
• Maintaining machine prints, steel inventory and parts
• Working within and across multiple groups and departments to design parts for equipment
• Maintaining compliance with all plant safety and environmental practices and procedures
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Compensation Data:
Starting compensation for this role ranges from $16.62 - $18.70 per hour and is eligible for a weekly Production Bonus and annual division earned Profit Sharing bonus. When factoring in the Production Bonus using a 4-year average, starting annual pay ranges between approximately $80,000 - $91,800 per year.
After training is completed, future compensation for this role ranges from $19.74 - $20.78 per hour plus the weekly Production Bonus. When factoring in the Production Bonus using a 4-year average, the future annual pay ranges from approximately $96,800-$102,000 per year.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Prior experience designing and producing parts using CNC and manual machine equipment
• Set up and programming of CNC
• 4 years of experience in an industrial setting
• Basic knowledge of calipers, coordinates systems and micrometer
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal oversight.
