We are looking to add an experienced compliance professional to our Corporate Legal Affairs team. This position will play a key role in leading the enterprise compliance program. Our team is a fast-paced, innovative, passionate, and enthusiastic group that strives to support our Nucor teammates every day, while also maintaining real work-life balance.
Job functions will include:
- Overseeing development and implementation of enterprise compliance strategy
- Developing, revising and maintaining legal and compliance policies
- Developing training modules, communications and other tools to support teammate education and awareness on topics including the Code of Conduct, antitrust and anti-bribery laws, export/import compliance, government contracting and privacy
- Conducting compliance surveys and risk assessments, evaluating results and developing recommendations and action plans as needed
- Assisting with public reporting and customer certification requests on compliance issues
- Monitoring and interpreting regulatory developments, industry trends and emerging risks for business impact
- Supporting regulatory and internal investigations involving compliance issues
- Role will primarily require in-office attendance
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related fields
- Experience leading compliance initiatives, developing corporate policies and conducting employee training
