About the Role

C.H.I. Overhead Doors is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Region #9, covering all accounts in North Carolina and Southern Virginia. In this role, you'll take ownership of account development with existing dealers, drive new customer growth, and execute strategic plans across your territory. You'll be the face of C.H.I. in the field — building relationships, delivering compelling product presentations, and closing business — all while embodying the values of safety, integrity, and innovation that define who we are. This is a field-based role with up to 75% travel across North Carolina and Southern Virginia. It requires self-motivation, strong territory management skills, and the ability to thrive on the road while staying connected to a collaborative team.

What You'll Do

  • Drive New Business & Grow the Territory - Identify and engage potential customers through email, phone, social platforms, and CRM workflows. Build and maintain a strong pipeline by proactively sourcing new opportunities and developing untapped markets within Region #9.

  • Develop Distributor & Customer Relationships - Foster deep, trust-based relationships with existing dealers and new prospects through consistent follow-up. Understand their business needs and position C.H.I. solutions that align with their goals — delivering on our promise of A Better Experience.

  • Present & Demonstrate Our Products - Conduct in-person and remote product presentations tailored to each customer's needs. Highlight the features, benefits, and value that set C.H.I. apart in the market.

  • Negotiate & Close - Prepare proposals, navigate pricing conversations, and guide prospects through the decision-making process. Approach objections with a consultative, solutions-oriented mindset to close deals efficiently.

  • Manage Your Territory Like a Business - Maintain accurate records in the CRM, track performance against KPIs, and provide timely updates to leadership. Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate Across Teams - Coordinate with marketing, customer service, technical teams, and leadership to deliver seamless customer experiences. Share field insights that help shape strategy and improve business outcomes.

  • Support Inbound Customers - Respond promptly to inbound inquiries, guide customers through available solutions, and ensure every interaction reflects the C.H.I. standard of service.

  • Achieve & Exceed Goals - Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through effective planning, execution, and disciplined follow-through.

What Success Looks Like

  • Your territory is growing — both in revenue and in the strength of your dealer relationships.

  • Your pipeline is organized, active, and consistently producing results.

  • Customers and dealers see you as a trusted partner, not just a rep.

  • You operate with ownership, treating your region as your own business.

  • You live the Nucor cultural values — safety, integrity, trust, teamwork, and a can-do attitude — in every interaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3 years experience in multi-state territory management in manufacturing or building industry

  • Valid driver's license

  • Willingness & ability to spend up to 75% of your work time in the field within assigned territory

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the overhead door industry

  • Established relationships within the building products distribution channel

  • Experience working in a CRM system

  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills

  • Experience managing distributor or dealer networks
