Process Engineer I

Basic Job Functions:

 Meet with internal clients to achieve project goals, expectations and clarify specific requirements of each project. Apply continuous improvement methods, such as lean manufacturing, to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness. Evaluate technical controls and data to optimize manufacturing process and programs while providing required quality standards. Clearly communicate project tasks, scopes and duration to teammates involved. Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements. Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information. Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions. Provide optimization to the process using technological information and reports from competitors, benchmarking activities, and continuous improvement. Track project performance for the successful completion of short- and long-term goals. Meet budgetary objectives. Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with team members and the managers. Use and continually develop leadership skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or directly related Engineering field and three (3) years of experience maintaining and improving industrial manufacturing processes. Experience must include: Optimize operability and reliability of manufacturing process equipment through implementation of routine maintenance programming and troubleshooting any equipment malfunctions; Developing process improvement plans, including preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance and equipment fault tracing in an industrial setting; Assessing product quality and ensuring adherence to industry manufacturing and production standards; Experience utilizing relevant engineering computer software programs including SAP, Python, C, C#, MATLAB and LabView.
