Basic Job Functions:

 

 This position is primarily responsible for leading and developing the storeroom team to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations.  Duties will include but are not limited to, communicating, and defining replenishment needs both stock and consignment items; developing and enforcing warehouse policies; reconciling systems and performing physical counts; investigating discrepancies in inventory or shipments; expediting part repairs and orders; and monitoring delivery lead times. This candidate should have the ability to improve processes and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 or more years working in supply chain, shipping and / or warehouse environment.
  • Experience managing supply chain, shipping and / or warehouse.
  • Minimum of 2 years purchasing, or similar, experience in manufacturing environment
  • Two (2) or more years of experience managing employees (to include leadership skills, ability to influence, ability to create a team environment, communication to team, ability to hold people accountable).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work cross functionally.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Experience with MS Dynamics 365
  • Experience planning and scheduling activities.
  • Ability to organize and manage warehouse space.
