Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Skyline is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Machine Operator. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Safely follow procedures
  • Operate CNC Lathe Machine
  • Change programs and set tools as needed
  • Operate overhead cranes and material handlers
  • Lifting, pushing, or pulling materials  
  • Working in a fast-paced and very physically demanding role
  • Working in multiple roles with teammates on time sensitive deadlines
  • Maintaining inventory counts
  • Operating basic hand tools
  • Schedule flexibility

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Previous CNC experience or equivalent education/training in machining.

Preferences:

  • CNC programming experience
  • Pipe threading experience
  • CNC certificate or degree
