Shipping Coordinator 1

Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities for the Shipping Coordinator include but are not limited to:

• Setup and Coordinate Insulated Metal Panel deliveries with customers and carriers
• Work with Customer Service, Production and loading teams to maintain an up-to-date, accurate and balanced shipping schedule
• Ensure Carriers are Nucor Master Carriers and assist Shipping Supervisor with Outside Carrier recruitment
• Ensure that all shipping documents are current and comply with all Federal and Company requirements
• Reconcile production and shipping records to ensure complete shipment of material
• Maintain up-to-date records for the Shipping portion in Microsoft Teams
• Participate as needed with freight rate negotiations
• Initial setup and installation of Carrier point and ongoing utilization of Carrier point

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Experience with MS Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7 years of similar work in a logistics or shipping department
