Structural Web Tech

Nucor Buildings Group is looking for a Structural Web Tech to join our team.

Basic Job Functions:

• Material Planning: Interpret prints and review web dimensions to strategize how webs will fit into materials for efficient production.
• Job Orders: Create weekly job run orders and release completed jobs to production to meet completion and shipping deadlines.
• Feedback Provision: Collaborate with Design and Detailing to suggest improvements for material usage and production efficiency.
• Web Information Entry: Utilize Pro Nest Software to enter web information, generate web cut reports, and assign program numbers for each nest.
• Report Generation: Use the Production Control Program to create accurate reports for plates, flanges, and webs, distributing them to the appropriate teams.
• Support Duties: Assist with routine tasks across all areas of the Production Control Department as needed.
• Clerical Support: Perform clerical duties in the event of employee absences to ensure smooth operations.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year AutoCAD or Tekla experience.
• Experience in MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook Express.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extended education in a technical or engineering field.
• Prior experience in manufacturing.
