Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified NDT Inspector – Level II to perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements. This role is responsible for conducting inspections, interpreting results, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and quality teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Perform Level II NDT inspections using applicable methods in accordance with written procedures and industry codes.
  • Set up and calibrate NDT equipment; verify equipment functionality prior to use.
  • Interpret and evaluate inspection results against acceptance criteria.
  • Document inspection findings accurately and prepare clear, timely inspection reports..
  • Maintain inspection records in compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits and customer visits related to NDT and quality processes.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and inspection processes.
  • Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to appropriate teammates.
  • Facilitate performance-based training for teams and individuals to reinforce continuous improvement and a positive quality culture.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by Production Supervisors and Production Manager

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • NDT Level II Certification, utilizing Utrasonic Testing Methods
  • Ability to obtain AWS – CWI certification within 2 years
