Basic Job Functions:

The Division Administrator is primarily responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the operation of the division as it relates to taking care of our internal and external customers. Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: Invoicing, answer and properly route phone calls, act as a liaison between the operating division and the business office in Rock Hill, SC and direct any HR related questions to the NTS HR Department, work with vendors receiving, properly administer visitors access, manage location meetings and activities, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will develop strong and trusting relationships with internal and external customers and will be the point of contact at the location for all administrative tasks.

 

This position will provide an emphasis on finding and developing the workforce of the future by focusing on the following:

  • Responsible for the administrative support of the day-to-day business operations.
  • Assist with HR activities, including new hire orientation, benefit enrollment, and scanning and filing.
  • Assist with scheduling interviews and collecting related documents.
  • Order office supplies / kitchen supplies – organize weekly and compile supply list.
  • Order flowers for team member’s family due to illness/death
  • Answering switchboard and front lobby traffic (visitors) Create “New Hire” packets and New Hire Orientation Folders
  • Distributions to employees–incoming mail and distribute, scan invoices to accounting and plant information.
  • Maintain and coordinate special luncheons, events, meetings, coordinate birthday celebrations.
  • Assist with Fundraiser campaign and company sponsored events.
  • Maintain/update plant/office bulletin boards weekly.
  • Yearly audit of files
  • Facilities administration

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  2. Demonstrated experience computer skills-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365
  3. 1+ Years’ office experience in an administrative role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Executive Assistant or Office Manager
  • Prior experience in HR, A/P or Purchasing Activities
  • Bachelor's degree
