Basic Job Functions:
The duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Counter include but are not limited to the following: Assist maintenance and production teams by locating and issuing parts; Operate forklift and overhead crane to retrieve and put away inventory; Repackage items in appropriate manner for storage; Utilize software to document inventory movement; Perform regular counts of inventory for accuracy. This position requires working rotating shifts as well as scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 Years of experience in a distribution, manufacturing or industrial warehouse
• 2 Years of experience with an inventory management software program
• Forklift Certification or OSHA approved forklift safety training
• Experience loading and unloading flatbed or LTL freight trucks
Preferred Qualifications:
• Remote operated overhead crane experience
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Experience with Oracle ERP software
• Inventory Specialist (CIS) Certification
• Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
