Roll Mill Down Coiler/ Leveler Operator

Basic Job Functions:

The Rolling Mill Downcoiler/Leveler Tech responsibilities include but are not limited to:  
•    Help lead unprecedented excellence in safety.  Ensure safety is inherent and paramount in every single thing we do.
•    Coordinate downcoiler/leveling activities to safely and efficiently optimize rolling, finishing, and shipping productivity.
•    Consistent focus and dedication to improve all facets of safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability.
•    Operate all downcoiler/leveling equipment and computer systems to produce plate per customer specifications.
•    Strive to minimize equipment downtime by assisting with preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance and will be responsible for assisting the rolling mill department to meet production needs wherever deemed necessary.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Minimum 90 days Nucor Brandenburg experience or 1-year experience at another Nucor Division.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Prior Rolling Mill downcoiler/leveling experience
•    Desire and ability to pursue positions of increased responsibility
