Requirements:

Candidate must have a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of experience performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical failures for steel rolling mill equipment. Must have experience in: Supporting the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of new and existing mechanical equipment throughout a melt shop and rolling mill, including Raw Material Handling, Walking Beam Furnaces, Roughing Mill, Steckel Mill, and Levelers.; Conducting root cause failure analysis on mechanical breakdowns using Utilize IBA Analyzer.; Integrating maintenance outages, contractor schedules, and internal work orders into a unified project timeline using Microsoft Project Manager.; Creating 3D models of components, assemblies, and validating mechanical modifications in Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD software.; and Utilizing Sharepoint and Oracle EAM to maintain accurate records of equipment master data, maintenance activities, and mechanical inspections.

Preferred Qualifications:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical failures for the steel rolling mill equipment. Support the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of new and existing mechanical equipment throughout the melt shop and rolling mill, including Raw Material Handling, Walking Beam Furnaces, Roughing Mill, Steckel Mill, and Levelers. Analyze equipment performance data through signal processing software and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency. Plan and lead projects coordinated with operation and maintenance teams. Establish or coordinate the maintenance or safety procedures, service schedule, or supply of materials required to maintain machines or equipment in the prescribed condition. Study industrial processes to maximize the efficiency of steel mill rolling equipment applications, including equipment placement. Support reliability programs including vibration analysis, thermography, and alignment checks. Develop and maintain lubrication plans for rotating equipment. Conduct root cause failure analysis on mechanical breakdowns using Utilize IBA Analyzer. Create 3D models of components, assemblies, and validate mechanical modifications in Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD software. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for equipment repairs, inspections, and component replacement. Integrate maintenance outages, contractor schedules, and internal work orders into a unified project timeline using Microsoft Project Manager. Participate in capital improvement projects, including scoping, budgeting, planning, and execution within the mill. Utilize Sharepoint and Oracle EAM to maintain accurate records of equipment master data, maintenance activities, and mechanical inspections. Ensure spare parts availability and maintain equipment Bill of Materials (BOM). Assist with shutdown planning, scheduling, and execution. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and engineering standards during equipment maintenance and modifications. Collaborate with operations, reliability engineering, and electrical/automation teams to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
