Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Business Technology is seeking a creative, process-minded, relationship driven individual. The BI Analyst II will be responsible for continual data-driven improvement across Nucor Steel Brandenburg. This includes optimization of existing operational workflows, development of division teammates, improving data visibility for both production & administration, and development of new analysis tools with the intent of improving productivity and profitability across Nucor. Analysts are expected to work onsite within the operational area of Nucor Steel Brandenburg. It is expected that a BI Analyst II exhibit strong teaching & leadership skills to support the development of teammates at their divisions.
Some travel may be required to attend meetings and to best-mark with other Nucor divisions.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in data science, mathematics, engineering, or related field
- 3+ years with ERP & MES use for reporting and analysis
- 3+ years experience in data mining, databases, and data analysis tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel/PowerBI, and SQL Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years in a steelmaking enviroment
- Related advanced degrees or certifications
- Production critical operational support experience
- Advanced Business Acumen knowledge
- Experience with operational process documentation
