Sales and Production Scheduler

Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities of the Sales and Production Scheduler may include but are not limited to:

•The Sales and Production Scheduler is responsible for scheduling melt shop production and taking care of our customers by working closely with the mill to ensure orders are produced on time to take care of market demands. • This position will need to provide appropriate pricing and availability to customers on inquiries, while also entering orders timely and accurately with attention to detail.•Track and improve material programs, including supply chain management, semi-finished inventory planning and inventory KPI measurements. • Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Business or 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment

• Prior scheduling & planning experience in manufacturing environment          

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customer Service Sales Experience

• Merchant bar quality/rebar product knowledge
