Roll Shop Utility

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Roll shop Utility includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Ensure safe work environment for their self and their coworkers
• Perform daily crane inspections & operations
• Assist in Roll Shop & Mill maintenance
• Accurately fill out paperwork legibly and complete
• Learn to navigate the RMS system.
• Greasing Chocks and updating RMS system when completed.
• Keep RMS updated when wear rings are installed.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year minimum of Hot Mill production or Roll Shop Experience in the Steel Industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Overhead crane experience.
• Experience in Machine Shop CNC operations.
• Experience with precision measurement equipment.
