Production Planning Supervisor

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel – Arkansas is seeking applicants for the position of Production Planning Supervisor.  The role of the Production Planning Supervisor includes, but is not limited to:

• Establishing a culture of safety awareness, team development, quality production, and continuous improvement.
• Leading and setting direction for production planning, scheduling, inventory management and shipment targets.
• Leading an effective strategy incorporating all departments to achieve the short term and long-term production and shipment goals of the division through a team oriented and cooperative approach.
• Acting as a resource coordinating hot side production to meet shipping targets, cold side work in progress inventory and on-time delivery.
• Leading division efforts to continually improve our safety, team member development and profitability.
• Promoting a culture of ownership, engagement and teamwork working with other departments to ensure consistency and long-term success of the division.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in supply chain management, production planning, or scheduling
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
