NSAR Melt Shop Material Handler

Basic Job Functions:

The Melt Shop Material Handler will be responsible for, but not limited to, working in a fast-paced environment, unloading all inbound and outbound loads to and from the Melt Shop, maintaining large inventories, to include updating inventory spreadsheets, performing end of the month inventory, assist in cleaning warehouses and other areas in the Melt Shop as needed. The Melt Shop Material Handler must do daily pre-operational checklist of any equipment they will use and keep accurate maintenance records of this machine. The Material Handler must obtain certification in any needed mobile equipment, such as forklift, JLG, and/or Sky-track and maintain the certification as required.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Prior Melt Shop Experience
2. Current certification to operate a Forklift and Sky-track/JLG

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Basic understanding of managing and maintaining inventory
