Melt Shop Shift Supervisor

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking applicants for the position of Melt Shop Shift Supervisor.  The role of the Shift Supervisor includes, but is not limited to, a proven leader who communicates and enforces Nucor’s safety policies and procedures along with supporting the goals of the division/department. This person will be required to lead, coach and develop our teammates in all aspects of the production operation. They are also responsible for their personal growth and development while driving continual improvement in safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability.  They must also be able to think strategically and make sure that we maximize the availability and efficiency of the department.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
• Minimum of 1 year of steelmaking production experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of Melt Shop OR Caster OR Refractory experience
