Basic Job Functions:
The Bricker Helper is responsible for safe and efficient performance at the bricking stand at all times. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inspection, repair or replacement of ladle refractories
- Review and understanding of all refractory procedures
- Crane and mobile equipment operation
- Maintenance responsibilities of the refractory area
- Developing the team
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Melt Shop and/or Refractory experience
- Overhead Crane experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a team player
- Mobile equipment experience
