Market Manager

Basic Job Functions:

The role of Market Manager includes but is not limited to:

• Act as a Market Champion for their primary Sheet Market segment(s).
• Division support for specified other Sheet Market segments.  Work closely with those Market Champions.
• Develop and execute strategies for the market(s) by collaborating across the Sheet Group.
• Active participation in industry associations connected to their market.
• Raise Nucor brand awareness in the market.
• Connect with the Nucor Solutions groups as well as Corporate marketing.
• Involvement/support with customer contract negotiations.
• Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on sales and marketing strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and customers.
• Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and market dynamics to anticipate changes and opportunities.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years sales or marketing experience in the metals industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of steel flat rolled products and markets
• Four year bachelor degree in business, marketing, metallurgy or other engineering field related to the steel business
• Previous experience with customer support in either a sales or technical role
• Five years of experience in the metals industry
