Basic Job Functions:
The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to the oversight of all electrical maintenance of an area or the process control team including high-level plant automation, to include continuous improvement of our safety culture, predictive and preventive maintenance systems, project coordination, and team development. The Electrical Supervisor will also be expected to communicate all facets of the above-mentioned with teams, peers, management, and all other levels as required. Area(s) of responsibility will be determined based on overall strengths of the entire maintenance leadership team. The Electrical Supervisor will be expected to lead, motivate, develop, and assist a team while demonstrating a commitment to safety, fairness, team development, continual improvement, cost awareness, bottom line results, and innovation. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
Three years of experience in a Supervisor role
Five years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance
Five years of experience in the steel making processes
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, or power

Judgment/Decision Making Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options in order to choose the most appropriate solution.

Experience in the design, selection, installation, and commissioning of electrical equipment
