Basic Job Functions:

The Lead Caster Operator will be expected to create focus on safety for the entire NYS team, support the direction of our melting and casting operations, oversee the production process to ensure capacity demands and quality standards are met, help the casting team develop, and effectively manage projects that improve our casting operation. This person will also lead the team to safely conduct reactive and preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure efficient operations. This position will be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

3 Years Melting and Casting experience

Preferences:

Prior leadership experience in Melting or Casting
