Laboratory Supervisor

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel – Arkansas is seeking applicants for the position of Laboratory Supervisor.  The role of the Laboratory Supervisor includes, but is not limited to:

• Establishing a culture of safety awareness, team development, quality production, and continuous improvement.
• Leading the maintenance and continuous improvement of the division laboratories.
• Ensuring safe, prompt, and accurate testing of our product to ensure it meets our customers’ demands.
• Assisting operators and metallurgists in identification and disposition of defective material
• Assisting in claims investigations.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or equivalent engineering degree or equivalent laboratory experience
•  3 years of industrial or lab experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with supervising laboratory functions

• Proven track record of problem-solving
