LMF 3 Second Helper

Basic Job Functions:

The LMF 3 second helper is responsible for safely and efficiently preparing heats to be sent to the caster. This includes ensuring that the steel chemistry, slag, superheat, and calcium treatment are all within the defined parameters for the required grade.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years LMF experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior leadership experience
• Prior experience at LMF 1&2
• Prior experience at VTD
