Basic Job Functions:

The Inside Sales Representative will be working alongside the current inside sales team and will be responsible for execution of day-to-day sales department tasks, which may include, but are not limited to, professionally handling customer calls and requests for information, pricing, product availability, timely and accurately processing sales orders, and assisting with other sales transactions and general office duties as needed in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. This position will coordinate with District Sales Managers, the production team, the traffic department, metallurgists and other NYS teammates to collectively ensure world-class customer service. The Inside Sales Representative will strive to continuously find ways to better serve customer base and earn more profitable business. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of industrial customer service or related work experience

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office

Preferences:

Basic steel making knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in related field

ERP/Oracle experience
