Furnace Technician

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Furnace Tech includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Ensure safe work environment for their self and their coworkers.
• Ensure production of high quality product through proper Tunnel Furnace operation.
• Ensure proper Tunnel Furnace tracking and coil marking/inventory.
• Monitor Maintain, Troubleshoot and Repair the Tunnel Furnace and Banding area equipment.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months of Hot Rolling experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of and experience with the Tunnel Furnace & rolling process
