EAF 2nd Helper

Basic Job Functions:

Provide for a clean, safe, & efficient operation of the furnace at all times.  Add scrap to EAF with charge crane, take temperature/oxygen/ and chemistry samples of the steel, fill in for 1st Helper when needed, and work as a team to clean/organize the furnace deck.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor;therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of EAF 3rd Helper experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of Melt Shop experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of Overhead Crane Experience.
