Cold Mill 2 Dayshift Mechanic

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the CM2 Dayshift Mechanic will be to ensure the safety for themselves and teammates above all other considerations. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing mechanical work at Nucor Arkansas’s Specialty Cold Mill Complex. A major emphasis will be on safety improvements, controlling cost, continuous improvement projects, establishing a predictive and preventive maintenance program, establishing ISO documents, and planning for down days and outages.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a steel mill
2. Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends and/or holidays

2. Technical degree in engineering field or equivalent experience
