Basic Job Functions:
The Caster Pulpit Operator’s primary job function is to coordinate Caster deck operations with the LMF and Hot Mill to keep steel moving through the shop. Pulpit operators are responsible for editing lineups to suit shop conditions and coordinating equipment changes with the Mold and Segment team. Once fully qualified as a Caster Pulpit Operator, the selected teammate will also be expected to qualify both as a Caster Strandtender and Caster Tech.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Caster Pulpit Operator
