Caster Maintenance Mechanic

Basic Job Functions:

The role of a Caster Maintenance Mechanic includes providing mechanical maintenance assistance to the Caster, Mold/ Segment, Refractory, and VTD areas. This assistance should include but is not limited to equipment repairs, equipment inspections, equipment alignments, execution of Preventative and Predictive Maintenance measures, as well as execution of overall improvements to the Caster Maintenance Department.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Mechanical Maintenance Experience
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent Safety Record
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics and process flow diagrams
• Experience in operating mobile equipment (cranes, forklifts, manlifts, etc.)
