Basic Job Functions:

The Bricker will be responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring that ladles and caster tundishes are properly prepared and ready for service, including making timely decisions under pressure regarding their condition and availability. Responsibilities include installing, removing, and maintaining tundish nozzle changers, ladle and tundish slide gates, and associated hardware. This role requires working in confined spaces and in high-heat environments. The Bricker must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed and must be able to work in both NYS I and NYS II refractory areas. The Bricker will be expected to perform any tasks within the refractory department as assigned to support safe and efficient operations. Candidates must be able to meet all physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

3 years of melt shop and/or 3 years of refractory experience
