Accounting Manager

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking a leader for the position of Accounting Manager.  This position reports directly to the Division Controller. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Supervise finance and accounting teams, ensuring all records comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Oversee and manage period-end accounting close processes, meeting Corporate and Divisional reporting deadlines
• Manage audit processes and ensure proper internal controls are in place
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the production environment to provide analytical support to other departments on accounting issues
• Drive continuous cost improvements across all business areas
• Train and develop department staff to support individual, team, and Division goals

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 4 or more years of experience in the accounting field with an understanding of GAAP
• Prior leadership and supervisory experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA, CFA or MBA 
• Willing to relocate within Nucor as future opportunities arise
