NTP Birmingham - Security Guard

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products Birmingham is actively seeking a dynamic individual for the security guard position located in our facility. Our team demonstrates a firm commitment to taking care of our customers and a strong belief in work-life balance to maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment.

• Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, and company guidelines regarding the safety of visitors and carriers coming on and leaving our facility.
• Communication and coordination with other departments relating to deliveries and visitor appointments.
• Communication with loading and receiving crews for timely coordination of incoming and outgoing loads. 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aptitude to learn various computer applications to support the shipment of finished goods.
• Highly detail oriented, organized, and capable of working in a steady-paced environment.
