Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products - Birmingham is seeking applicants for the Process Engineer position. The Process Engineer will primarily focus on improving the production process using analytical tools, data and teamwork to develop and execute actions and projects. The Process Engineer must work closely with operations, maintenance, quality and commercial teams.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Must be willing to work weekends, nights, holidays, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in process improvement through analytical analysis.
  • Prior experience in failure analysis and corrective action process.
  • Knowledge of continuous or semi-continuous manufacturing processes.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience
