Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Products Birmingham is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Coordinator. The successful candidate will be capable of helping to ensure the Nucor Tubular Products Team delivers on our commitment to become the world’s safest steel company and supports the continued development of a capable and motivated team that can achieve the necessary operational and financial performance. The HR Coordinator is responsible for human resources related functions including onboarding/termination processing, payroll processing, community outreach, maintenance of Nucor University data and backup to all other HR functions, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively throughout the division leadership team to inspire the entire operation.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One to two years of Human Resources experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources management
- Experience with processing payroll utilizing SAP
- Experience processing local, state and Federal taxes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
