Short Description

Pay Range: $19.91 - $24.20/hr DOE

Synchronize and coordinate outbound finished goods and provide clerical assistance to Accounts Payable, Contracts, and Shipping.

 

Basic Job Functions:

  • Must adhere to Nucor safety programs and standards.
  • Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor vision and values.
  • Schedule deliveries with trucking/jobsites and maintain organized records
  • Handle some retail orders: Quoting; Tagging; Preparation of paperwork; Payment collection
  • Preparation (printing) of all drawings for deliveries
  • Support inventory (stock, physical inventories, WIP and tails).
  • Enter and post invoices into the accounts payable system. Scan and email invoices to locations for approval.
  • Code and voucher all purchase order invoices.
  • Answer vendor inquiries regarding payment and communicate with internal personnel to resolve problems.
  • Match paid invoices to check stubs and maintain paid invoices files.
  • Review vendor statements.
  • Coordinate freight invoice entry.
  • Perform month end processes.
  • Communicate/distribute all pertinent Human Resources information to location teammates.
  • Develop exceptional working relationships with other departments, customers and vendors.
  • Backup for other administrative personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software program
  • Two-year degree in accounting 
     

Physical Demands

  • Typical office activities (walking, sitting, standing, bending)
  • Using hands to operate objects, tools, computers and other electronic equipment
  • Lifting/handling computers and related equipment (typically not more than 25 pounds).
  • Vision abilities including close vision and adjusting focus
  • Moderate noise level

Must be able to work overtime when required
