Nucor Steel-Auburn (NSAU) is seeking applicants for the position of Maintenance and Engineering Manager
Basic Job Functions:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Leadership role in promoting Nucor’s mission ensuring that Safety is instilled as a value with a strong focus on Quality and Environmental Stewardship.
· Leadership role in managing the division’s Maintenance and Engineering activities including long range strategic planning. Manage multiple projects simultaneously including various strategic negotiation and continual improvement in our plant reliability with an preventative and predictive maintenance program.
· Leadership role in maximizing divisions’ assets, minimizing downtime, and developing a culture of ownership. Provide experience and leadership to critically analyze business needs and help formulate a clear vision and strategy.
· Proven ability to develop team members through training, individual reviews and coaching sessions.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
· 4-year degree or equivalent experience in a related field
· Five Years of supervisory, management or leadership experience
· Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor Steel-Auburn will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

· Coaching and Developing Others: Identifying the strengths and developmental needs of others to include coaching, mentoring, teaching, training, or otherwise helping others to improve their skills to work effectively.
· Business Acumen: General business knowledge and an understanding of how Nucor makes money.
Preferences:
· Post high school degree(s) in Electrical, Mechanical and/or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering in related field.
· Two years in maintenance
