Basic Job Functions:
Planned projects are listed, but not limited to:
• Develop a thorough and comprehensive understanding of industrial safety.
• Work alongside Nucor Electrician performing preventive and corrective maintenance
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the various control systems throughout the Rolling Mill & Melt shop
• Data collection for Arc Flash studies and CMMS implementation
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Participation in a course of study in Electrical Technology or equivalent
• GPA of 3.0 or better in Electrical Courses
• Written recommendation from advisor
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
• Completion of a safety course(s)
• Practical work experience
