Process Engineer

Basic Job Functions:

The Lean Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for assisting in developing, developing, and implementing a Lean Manufacturing production system strategy. A leader in implementing best practices, Process Engineers ensure adherence to lean manufacturing principles and the planning/facilitation of strategic plans, kaizen workshops, and other activities.

Related Job Duties: 

Coach and train associates in lean manufacturing and problem-solving principles. 

Utilize lean techniques to streamline manufacturing processes and initiatives. 

Support Operations leadership in driving continuous improvement projects, executing transformation plans and product development projects 

Develop Continuous Improvement Initiatives to assist with the facilitation of strategic business initiatives. 

Support overall factory and work cell process engineering needs. 

Other duties/projects as assigned. 
 

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $65,951-$80,152 + Production Bonus

Production Bonus

Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly.

Profit-Sharing

10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years previous experience in manufacturing or construction

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
