Printer Operator (Accents - 2nd Shift)

Basic Job Functions

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

The Position:

Print Department Operators manufacture, assemble, install and support the production of C.H.I. custom printed graphics door panels. This could include the production/installation of custom printed graphics, paints, sealants or other support components. 

Related Job Duties:

• Reads production lists and performs work as assigned by department supervisor.
• Lifts, measures, saws, cuts, prints, seals, cleans, clips, drills, presses, snaps, glues, caps, paints, rivets, screws, nails, insulates or otherwise assembles the materials to produce custom printed graphics garage doors and/or assemblies.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, computers, printers, inks, paints and other industrial equipment/machinery in the fabrication, packaging and movement of garage doors or related products.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Place finished goods in the proper area for shipment.
• Specializes in multiple forms graphics application/installation 
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly PM tasks on printer & related equipment
• Manage, edit, and confirm quality of print/image files 
• Other reasonably related duties as assigned. 

Compensation

$18.20 + $1.00 Shift Differential + Weekly Production Bonus Example: Hourly Base Rate = 19.20 Weekly Production Bonus = 55%. Total Hourly Rate = 29.76

Production Bonus

Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly.

Profit-Sharing

10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in operating machines in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years experience in operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with computers, software, and programming
• Experience in machine calibration and maintenance
